PROPOSED FINAL BUDGET UPDATE
Dr. Goodin, Superintendent of Schools, and Mr. James Fink, Chief Financial Officer, presented the 2016-2017 Proposed Final Budget at the May 16, 2016 School Board Meeting. The presentation included:
- Challenges in preparing the 2016/2017 Budget
- Expenditure changes year/year
- Revenue changes year/year
- 2016/2017 budget gap and tax impact
How does Spring-Ford compare? With an average of 7,870 students, Spring-Ford is the third largest district in Montgomery County. Based on the 2016-2017 Proposed Final Budget, Spring-Ford will rank third lowest cost per student in Montgomery County, and will remain the sixth lowest millage rate (tax rate) in the county.

SPRING-FORD ELA INFORMATION NIGHT
Join the Spring-Ford Curriculum and Instruction team on Tuesday, May 24 6:30 p.m. for Spring-Ford's K-6 English Language Arts Information night. The C&I team will help parents understand the new comprehensive ELA program Journeys 2017, what is changing, why it is changing and what families can expect.

KEYSTONE EXAM INFORMATION
Across the state, schools continue to prepare for the administration of Keystone Exams as end-of-course exams established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). The assessments are designed to provide information about the quality of our school programs, the progress of our students, and data for curricular and instructional planning purposes. The Keystone Exams for Algebra I, Biology, and Literature will be administered during the weeks of May 16-27, 2016.

COOL SCHOOL 2016
Cool School 2016 registration is open!
Cool School summer courses offer fun summer activities for students completing grades K-6, with a focus on enrichment, arts and sports. Check out this years courses, taught by some of your favorite Spring-Ford teachers!
Quick tips for a successful registration:
1. Review the Cool School course book with your Cool School kiddo.
2. Register with Credit Card online or mail a check/cash payment, along with the Cool School Registration Form.
3. Get ready to have fun!

ANNUAL BMI NOTIFICATION
Your child’s yearly growth screening information (BMI) is now available on Skyward Family Access. To view your child’s information, please select your child’s name, click on the tab “Health Info”, Click on “Display Options” and choose “Show Physical Exams.”
