SFASD HOSTS #PARENTCAMP
Spring-Ford Area School District is hosting #ParentCamp on January 28, 2017!

#ParentCamp is known nationally as an "unconference." The #ParentCamp experience is an opportunity for Spring-Ford parents, teachers, community members and industry experts to come together for actual, face-to-face discussion about what is best for kids.

The event relies upon the expertise and perspective of the entire room, not just a presenter like the typical stand and deliver presentation. Every adult within the session brings an important and unique perspective to contribute to sharing strategies and ideas to benefit student learning, teaching and parenting.

There are “discussion leaders” in each session who set the tone for collaborative dialogue. Discussion Leaders could be parents, school and community leaders or teachers. Sessions are geared toward K-6 parents. Sessions will include Social Emotional Wellness, Homework Without Tears, Enhancing Your Child’s Reading, Play Everything: A Healthy Approach to Youth Sports, How to Support Your Child’s Mathematical Development, and many more!

ParentCamp Schedule – January 28, 2017
Registration/Breakfast: 8:30-9 a.m.
